Why Murple? - It rhymes with purple.
Our cats Meddlar & Moonshine greeted us with a murple. Both have now sadly passed on. RIP

This site supportsAnd... here's another of Moonshine, not quite a kitten but showing his cheeky look.
Moonshine died aged 10 on 26/05/2006 after becoming unwell over the previous few weeks. He had made quite a name for himself around the neighbourhood as a lovely friendly cat who was always willing to be taken in & given some food and a comfortable place to sleep. The neighbours came round to pay their last respects and this is one of the photos from his last day
Meddlar became ill just before Christmas 2009. She may have slipped a disc slipping on the ice or may have had a stroke. Within a few days she had lost the use of her back legs & tail, and more seriously, her bladder. Though there were some slight improvements over the next week or so she then got worse again and picked up a severe bladder infection, and she died late Friday morning 15/01/2010.
This is how we'd prefer to remember her, lying out in the garden with us & enjoying the sunshine, not to mention nicking whatever towel, hat or sunbed we happened to be using.

Meddlar aged 13, and still hogging the seats.
New additions 14/02/09 - Ian & PJ have a pair of kittens, Jones, the lighter one and Monty, the darker one.
Sadly more bad news, Jones was hit by a car or something on the evening of 15/10/2009 and died aged just 10 months.
Last of all, there are some travel pictures on this site of RWC 2007, New York and Alpe d'Huez, but there's no public link to them. This is just to remind Pete where they might be.
